Permanent employment visa solution for regional winery in Victoria

We were approached by a small regional winery in Victoria seeking to sponsor a chef for their new in-house restaurant. Because the business entity had only just been established it was considered a ‘start-up’ under immigration regulations and we identified that the business would need to delay sponsorship until it had been trading for at least 6 months, and assisted the business to implement systems and processes to ensure it would meet relevant immigration criteria after this time.

We worked with the sponsor and the visa applicant to prepare appropriate supporting documentation and ensure the sponsorship and visa application could be lodged once the business was eligible but before the applicant’s visa expired.

We also assisted the business to prepare suitable documentation to support the application including business plans, position descriptions, and other relevant documents. The application was approved and the winery was able to continue using the services of a skilled chef.
