Employer Sponsored PR Over 50

Our client, an Australian insurance broker, sought to sponsor a highly skilled insurance professional to manage a state office using the 457 visa. The visa applicant was aged over 50 meaning that any transition to permanent residency would only be possible under exceptional circumstances.

Employer sponsored PR

Hammond Taylor engaged with the sponsor and the visa applicant to ensure the parties understood the requirements for a future Employer Nomination Scheme 186 visa application and assisted the business to implement a plan to ensure the requirements for the 186 visa would be met over the course of the next 4 years.

The visa holder is now in his 3rd year of the 457 visa, safe in the knowledge that the prerequisites for permanent residency continue to be met and with a plan to apply for the 186 visa after 4 years continuous employment with his sponsor.
